LUSH Treats

Hey everybody!

As its was Christmas, I always get a number of bath bombs. This year, I had a Christmas present full of lush which was given to me of one of my best friends. She sure does know me well.

In my parcel, I received a number of different bath bombs, along with a bath melt and also a bubble bar. There are a number of different scents in the box, some of which I love and some I’m not to sure on just yet. So without further ado here is what I received and my thoughts on them:

Bath Bombs
  • Frozen – The frozen bath bomb, is one that I absolutely love! The scent of this bomb is fresh and floral which I prefer to the citrusy and sweet smelling ones.
  • Big Blue – I have never had this bath bomb before, and I am not good at describing scents as the only way I can describe the smell of this bath bomb is, its how I imagine the sea to smell minus all of the salt. I like it, kind of fresh again and I can’t wait to use it.
  • Luxury Lush Pud – This is a scent of which I am not particularly keen on, I particularly think that the smell of this bath bomb is cake mixture mixed with lavender (I cannot describe anything) however it looks amazing! Lots of different colours so I am expecting a magical colour in my bath!
  • Father Christmas – I received 2 of these, however one is looking like it needs a pick me up. Kind of sweet scented like the snow fairy shower gel, I am not the biggest fan of snow fairy however I do like this scent in the bath bomb. If that makes sense.
  • Blackberry Bath Bomb – I personally cannot smell the blackberry that much in this bomb, what I do smell is happiness which is what the bomb if for so it says on the packaging. I really like it and cannot wait to use it.
  • Yoga Bomb – This bath bomb, I shall be using when I come back from the gym or after a workout when my legs are aching, just because of the name “yoga”.  I like this scent as it is very uplifting and fresh.
Bath Melts
  • Snow Angel – GLITTER, GLITTER and more GLITTER. This bath melt is so amazing! I love the scent, cocoa and vanilla mixed together. If you are not one for getting rid of glitter after your bath then I would maybe give this one a miss.
Bubble Bars
  • Peeping Santa – I have only every had 1 bubble bar from LUSH in my whole life, however I really loved it! This bubble bar looks like and smells just like a sweet strawberry. It has a very uplifting scent to it so I will be using this when I have had a bad day or when I am feeling a little down.

Sooo, that is what I received from LUSH this Christmas, I hope you enjoyed reading about my products and I am sorry for my shocking description of smells, all I can say though is that my box of products smells absolutely incredible!

I would love to know what your favourite products from LUSH are in the comments below 🙂 I will be back again soon with my next post.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hey guys,

So hopefully the man in the big red suit paid a visit to you all last night and left you all the gifts you wanted and more.

In this blog post, I am going to be taking you through my Christmas Eve routine and what I get up to on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve

So Christmas Eve for me is probably one of the exciting days. Not because I know I’m going to be waking up to presents but because I know I’m going to spending such a lovely day with my family.  So in preparation for this, I like to run myself a steaming hot bath and place a lush product or two in there. This year, I chose to use my Father Christmas bath bomb. I absolutely love this bath bomb and it lifts my mood, smells incredible and has a Christmassy green colour to it.

Whilst relaxing in the bath, I like to put on some Christmas music and this year I was particularly enjoying Michael Buble Christmas so I listened to that specific album. I also like to use a facemask to prepare my skin for Christmas (if you can say that) and I use the origins clear improvements  mask. Whilst I am soaking, I light my Yankee Candle Christmas Eve Jar and then I lay in bath for around 1 hour.

When I finally bring myself to get out of the bath, I put on my cosy pyjamas and go downstairs where my family are waiting for me so that we can open a bottle or two of fruit flavoured Prosecco. After a few hours I retire from drinking Prosecco and make myself a hot chocolate with cream and take myself to bed. I put on a Christmas film and snuggle up in bed before I close my eyes.

Christmas Day

I get woken up at around 7 0 clock and my parents are the biggest kids in the house. Before I begin to open  my presents that Santa has left for me 😉 I make myself some pancakes and a cup of coffee. Once my breakfast has been demolished, me and my brother then begin to open our presents. My main present this year was a pair of Christian Louboutin Heels, which I adore so so much! Along with my heels, I also got a MAC voucher, my FAVE perfume Alien and other little bits and bobs.

After getting ready, at around 11 o clock, we leave for my nans house where we spend out Christmas day. More presents were there for us so after we had eaten our starter, we gave our gifts to each other and opened them. I was spoilt yet again, I was given a Limit Necklace, Bracelet and Watch along with other small gifts. We then tucked into our Christmas Dinner and played Pie Face I think it’s called and other silly but funny games before returning home where I came straight up to my bedroom and had a little nap.

So, that’s basically my Christmas summed up, I hope you have all had an amazing day and got what you wished for. I would love to hear what you got in the comments below.

Christmas Makeup

Hey guys!

So with Christmas approaching very soon, I decided it was time for me to show you my “Christmas Makeup Look” and for me to tell you what products I use on my face for special occasions like Christmas.

Personally, nothing shouts out Christmas or the festive season as much as the word glitter does. I like my makeup on Christmas day to be so glittery and bold. Many of you may think well why do you wear so much makeup on Christmas? well i don’t go out on Christmas day, I stay in with all of my family but I just love the festive feeling I get when I have golden glitter eyes and a bold red lip.

The pictures make my makeup look slightly on the orange side as I was taking the picture using artificial lighting instead of natural.

I use a variety of products to achieve my Christmas look, so i will just list the skincare and makeup products that I use in order 🙂

  • Origins Clear Improvements Mask
  • Clinique 3-Step – Wash, Tone, Moisturize
  • Clinique – All about eyes
  • Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer
  • MAC Studio Sculpt – NC25
  • Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup – Alabaster
  • Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat – 01
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – Translucent
  • Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess – Medium
  • Barry M Contour Kit
  • MAC Pigment – Vanillaimage3
  • Benefit Brow Zings
  • Soap & Glory Archery Eyebrow pencil/pen
  • Benefit Erase Paste (under brows) – Light
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion original
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 Half Baked (all over lid)
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 Smog (crease & lower lash line)
  • Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner (top) Black
  • Urban Decay Eyeliner (bottom) Black
  • Yves Saint Laurent Luxurious Mascara – Black
  • Revlon Dramatic Lashes
  • Rimmel Kate Moss Red Lipstick (not shown on the picture)

So, I think its safe to say that I use a lot of makeup to achieve this look, however it is Christmas after all!

I really hope you enjoyed this blog post, I know that I enjoyed writing it 😉 If you have any requests of blog posts, please just drop me a comment

I hope that you all have an amazing Christmas and get what you wished for. I will see you guys again Christmas day!

Melting Snowman Biscuits

Hey Guys

I am so sorry for the delay! hopefully though you’re all well and are set for Christmas.

A few weeks ago, I decided to experiment with marshmallows, Icing sugar and basically everything that is needed to make these delicious Christmas treats.

The ingredients that you will need are:

  • Plain Digestive Biscuits
  • Icing Sugar
  • Large Marshmallows
  • Little tubes of icing in various colours
  • A Bowl – to mix the icing in
  • knife or spoon to spread the icing onto the biscuits

The method is simple so I will not go into detail as you can have as much or as little fun you want 🙂

  1. Firstly, place out your digestive biscuits into a line or so. I only made 4 biscuits but this doesn’t mean you have to make 4, you can make as many as you want!
  2. I then put my icing sugar into a bowl, added little amounts of water at a time and mixed with a teaspoon until I had the correct consistency.
  3. Then using the same teaspoon, I placed a blob of the icing sugar onto my digestive and spread evenly using a butter knife.
  4. Whilst waiting for the icing sugar to dry slightly on the digestive, I used my icing pens to create faces onto the marshmallows, once I had done these faces, I then placed them onto the digestive to form the head of the snowman.
  5. I then used my brown icing pen to blob 3 buttons down the middle of the biscuit and also used the same icing pen to draw the arms of the snowman.
  6. That’s it, my melting snowmen biscuits were made, I then just waited for around an hour and a half for them to dry completely before I tucked into one.

It really is as simple as that! You can also be more creative than me and maybe make 3d arms I don’t know, just experiment on your melting snowmen!

That’s it for today guys, sorry its nothing much I just wanted to post a little something so you hadn’t thought that I’d forgotten about you. I hope you enjoyed reading about how I made these yummy treats and maybe you will make some for yourself or for guests who may be visiting over the Christmas period.

I will be back again on Christmas Eve / Day just to wish you all a merry Christmas and to let you know what LUSH products I will be using for my Christmas eve bath and also what I get up to myself this week 🙂
