Testing Primark Face Masks | The Aimee Effect

Unlike most people I know, I am yet to try the makeup from Primark, I mean it does look unreal, I don’t know why I haven’t tried it yet and if the foundation is anything like Estee Lauder Doublewear then hey what a winner.
Since I rarely visit primark, I decided to take a trip to look in the beauty section, unfortunately the primark near to where I live is only small so the products are limited. Therefore, I didn’t pick up any makeup. What I did pick up though is a few facemasks. At 80p for one mask I just had to and I really wanted to try something!
I got….

  1. Smoothing Dead Sea Mask – 80p
This mask has a gorgeous scent too it and is quite a thick consistency. Initally when I first put the mask on, it felt like it was going to dry quite hard like a few others on the market. I am not a fan of masks that go super tight on my face but this one to my surprise didn’t. It did tighten a little but nothing major so no cracks formed. I have to say, it does do what it says on the packet, I had a few little bumps around my nostrils and the mask got rid of them, it also made my skin very smooth and it looked amazing! Definately one to stock up on and for 80p who can blame me?
  2. Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask – 80p
I was really looking forward to this one however, I found the mask started to itch me quite a bit and felt as if I had millions of little spiders running all over my face. It also felt like the mask was dripping down my face, I’m not 100% sure if it was or if it was just my imagination. Unfortnately I had to take this mask off within 5 minutes as it was too itchy 😦
  3. Prep & Protect Priming Sheet Mask (glow) – 80p
I used this the morning after I had used the smoothing dead sea mask and it made my skin look and feel gorgeous! It did give me a nice glowy look and when makeup was applied the glow came through (obviously I powdered my under eye as I crease so much!) but all in all a lovely mask that I will repurchase. One thing I will say though is that when you first put the mask on it is absoluely freezing but this is something I can deal with!
  4. 4 Dark Circle Reducing sunflower Eye Patches – £1.00
First of all, £1.00 for 2 pairs is an absolute bargain. Second, these things actually work! I was skeptical with them only being £1.00 but they really do reduce the dark circles under the eyes! I suffer with really dark undereyes so the fact that these work wonders and are so cheap is amazing! I didn’t take any photos (bad blogger) but please please take my word for it!
