On Saturday, I had the pleasure of going down to Birmingham for a Christmas masterclass at DIOR with the makeup artist and blogger Tessi Artistry. I had an amazing day meeting her and watching her do her thing on her beautiful model.
I was welcomed by the staff at DIOR and they made sure I felt at home and relaxed. As a blogger, this was my first proper event/masterclass that I have ever been too, so I was extremely nervous as I was there on my own, but I soon started to relax.
Tessi created a full makeup look on her model using the new DIOR Christmas range and I’m not just saying this but all the products she used looked amazing on the model’s skin. Having never used any DIOR makeup products before, I was very intrigued and needed to know more, so after Tessi had finished the look she then took us to the makeup where we could try it on ourselves and get matched by the experts. It was an amazing day and you also got given a goody bag with lots of samplers and miniatures of some DIOR products, one thing that I did purchase myself was the backstage foundation as it looked too good to leave behind.

DIOR BACKSTAGE FACE AND BODY FOUNDATION – when I watched Tessi use this foundation, I was amazed by how natural and flawless it looked on the skin. The product is a medium coverage however is easily buildable to create a higher coverage base. The foundation itself is enriched with beauty-enhancing pigments, it is waterproof and can resist extreme conditions such as workout sessions and a humid environment. The foundation comes in 40 shades and retails at £29.00

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hey guys,

So hopefully the man in the big red suit paid a visit to you all last night and left you all the gifts you wanted and more.

In this blog post, I am going to be taking you through my Christmas Eve routine and what I get up to on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve

So Christmas Eve for me is probably one of the exciting days. Not because I know I’m going to be waking up to presents but because I know I’m going to spending such a lovely day with my family.  So in preparation for this, I like to run myself a steaming hot bath and place a lush product or two in there. This year, I chose to use my Father Christmas bath bomb. I absolutely love this bath bomb and it lifts my mood, smells incredible and has a Christmassy green colour to it.

Whilst relaxing in the bath, I like to put on some Christmas music and this year I was particularly enjoying Michael Buble Christmas so I listened to that specific album. I also like to use a facemask to prepare my skin for Christmas (if you can say that) and I use the origins clear improvements  mask. Whilst I am soaking, I light my Yankee Candle Christmas Eve Jar and then I lay in bath for around 1 hour.

When I finally bring myself to get out of the bath, I put on my cosy pyjamas and go downstairs where my family are waiting for me so that we can open a bottle or two of fruit flavoured Prosecco. After a few hours I retire from drinking Prosecco and make myself a hot chocolate with cream and take myself to bed. I put on a Christmas film and snuggle up in bed before I close my eyes.

Christmas Day

I get woken up at around 7 0 clock and my parents are the biggest kids in the house. Before I begin to open  my presents that Santa has left for me 😉 I make myself some pancakes and a cup of coffee. Once my breakfast has been demolished, me and my brother then begin to open our presents. My main present this year was a pair of Christian Louboutin Heels, which I adore so so much! Along with my heels, I also got a MAC voucher, my FAVE perfume Alien and other little bits and bobs.

After getting ready, at around 11 o clock, we leave for my nans house where we spend out Christmas day. More presents were there for us so after we had eaten our starter, we gave our gifts to each other and opened them. I was spoilt yet again, I was given a Limit Necklace, Bracelet and Watch along with other small gifts. We then tucked into our Christmas Dinner and played Pie Face I think it’s called and other silly but funny games before returning home where I came straight up to my bedroom and had a little nap.

So, that’s basically my Christmas summed up, I hope you have all had an amazing day and got what you wished for. I would love to hear what you got in the comments below.

Christmas Makeup

Hey guys!

So with Christmas approaching very soon, I decided it was time for me to show you my “Christmas Makeup Look” and for me to tell you what products I use on my face for special occasions like Christmas.

Personally, nothing shouts out Christmas or the festive season as much as the word glitter does. I like my makeup on Christmas day to be so glittery and bold. Many of you may think well why do you wear so much makeup on Christmas? well i don’t go out on Christmas day, I stay in with all of my family but I just love the festive feeling I get when I have golden glitter eyes and a bold red lip.

The pictures make my makeup look slightly on the orange side as I was taking the picture using artificial lighting instead of natural.

I use a variety of products to achieve my Christmas look, so i will just list the skincare and makeup products that I use in order 🙂

  • Origins Clear Improvements Mask
  • Clinique 3-Step – Wash, Tone, Moisturize
  • Clinique – All about eyes
  • Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer
  • MAC Studio Sculpt – NC25
  • Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup – Alabaster
  • Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat – 01
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – Translucent
  • Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess – Medium

  • Benefit Erase Paste (under brows) – Light
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion original
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 Half Baked (all over lid)

Melting Snowman Biscuits

Hey Guys

I am so sorry for the delay! hopefully though you’re all well and are set for Christmas.

A few weeks ago, I decided to experiment with marshmallows, Icing sugar and basically everything that is needed to make these delicious Christmas treats.

The ingredients that you will need are:

  • Plain Digestive Biscuits
  • Icing Sugar
  • Large Marshmallows
  • Little tubes of icing in various colours
  • A Bowl – to mix the icing in
  • knife or spoon to spread the icing onto the biscuits

The method is simple so I will not go into detail as you can have as much or as little fun you want 🙂

  1. Firstly, place out your digestive biscuits into a line or so. I only made 4 biscuits but this doesn’t mean you have to make 4, you can make as many as you want!
  2. I then put my icing sugar into a bowl, added little amounts of water at a time and mixed with a teaspoon until I had the correct consistency.
  3. Then using the same teaspoon, I placed a blob of the icing sugar onto my digestive and spread evenly using a butter knife.
  4. Whilst waiting for the icing sugar to dry slightly on the digestive, I used my icing pens to create faces onto the marshmallows, once I had done these faces, I then placed them onto the digestive to form the head of the snowman.
  5. I then used my brown icing pen to blob 3 buttons down the middle of the biscuit and also used the same icing pen to draw the arms of the snowman.
  6. That’s it, my melting snowmen biscuits were made, I then just waited for around an hour and a half for them to dry completely before I tucked into one.

It really is as simple as that! You can also be more creative than me and maybe make 3d arms I don’t know, just experiment on your melting snowmen!

That’s it for today guys, sorry its nothing much I just wanted to post a little something so you hadn’t thought that I’d forgotten about you. I hope you enjoyed reading about how I made these yummy treats and maybe you will make some for yourself or for guests who may be visiting over the Christmas period.

I will be back again on Christmas Eve / Day just to wish you all a merry Christmas and to let you know what LUSH products I will be using for my Christmas eve bath and also what I get up to myself this week 🙂
